Wins for Berazategui and Quimsa on Friday

Berazategui led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 36 of its points in the paint compared to Leonas' 12. They outrebounded Leonas 48-26 including a 36-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. Point guard Sofia Wolf (166-0) stepped up and scored 16 points for the winners and Candela Gentinetta (181-1) chipped in 10 points and 9 rebounds. Argentinian forward Paula Reggiardo (183-84) responded with 15 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Defending Argentinian champion maintains first place with 2-0 record, which they share with Quimsa. Defending Colombian champion Leonas still closes the standings with two games lost. They share the position with Victoria. Berazategui is looking forward to face league's second-placed Quimsa in Santiado del Estero in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Belarusian forward Tatyana Troina (188-81, college: S.Carolina) came up with 7 points, 19 rebounds and 5 assists for Victoria in the defeat. Victoria's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Quimsa keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Berazategui. Victoria at the other side still closes the standings with two games lost. They share the position with Leonas. Quimsa will play against league's leader Berazategui in Buenos Aires in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week.
