Group CLeonas - Victoria 48-57Very significant was Ecuadorian Victoria's (#4) 57-48 victory against one of their biggest challengers Colombian Leonas. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Victoria brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. Even a double-double of 18 points and 11 rebounds by Brazilian power forward Julia Torres (190-93, college: MWSU) did not help to save the game for Leonas. Marta Peralta (171-94) added 14 points and 12 rebounds. Victoria (1-2) keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Pastoras de Lara. It was Leonas' third loss in a row.
