The biggest surprise of round 3 in Liga Sudamericana took place in Montevideo where host Uruguayan D.Sporting (2-1) crushed Argentinian Rocamora (2-1) 66-47 on Saturday evening. D.Sporting forced 21 Rocamora turnovers. The best player for the winners was Italian-Paraguayan swingman Paola Ferrari (178-1985, college: Union, TN) who had a double-double by scoring 16 points, 12 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals. Argentinian guard Julieta Ale (176-1995) chipped in 13 points and 7 rebounds. D.Sporting's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was Uruguayan-Argentinian power forward Sabrina Scevola (178-1992) who recorded 7 points and 15 rebounds. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.

It was a good game for forward Catalina Perez (-1997) who saved her team from a defeat with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds. Paula Carrasco contributed with 23 points for the winners. Sportiva Ita.'s coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Argentinian forward Ana Paz (178-1997) answered with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists for Aguada. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
