(1-2) saved a 1-point victory on the road edging Uruguayan Aguada (1-2) 67-66 in the game for the third place. Sportiva Ita. forced 23 Aguada turnovers. Strangely Aguada outrebounded Sportiva Ita. 56-37 including a 20-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a good game for forward Catalina Perez (-1997) who saved her team from a defeat with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds. Point guard Paula Carrasco (161-1994) contributed with 23 points for the winners. Sportiva Ita.'s coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Argentinian forward Ana Paz (178-1997) answered with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists and point guard Florencia Niski (165-2002) added 15 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Aguada. The best player for the winners was Italian-Paraguayan swingman Paola Ferrari (178-1985, college: Union, TN) who had a double-double by scoring 16 points, 12 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals. Argentinian guard Julieta Ale (176-1995) chipped in 13 points and 7 rebounds. D.Sporting's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was Uruguayan-Argentinian power forward Sabrina Scevola (178-1992) who recorded 7 points and 15 rebounds and guard Rocio Diaz (170-1993) added 8 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists respectively.
