Round 4: Berazategui hands first defeat to UDJ

The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of undefeated Ecuadorian UDJ (0-1) in Quininde on Thursday night. Hosts were defeated by Argentinian Berazategui (1-0) 58-51. It was a key game for the top position in the league. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But UDJ won third quarter 21-14. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Berazategui won last quarter 13-8. Center Florencia Fernandez (189-1986) fired 15 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Swingman Celeste Cabanez (178-1986) chipped in 9 points and 8 rebounds. Colombian forward Carolina Lopez (188-1998) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. It was the only win of guest team this round and in all other games host teams recorded victories.
