The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of undefeated Bolivian Carl A-Z (2-1) in Oruro on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by Paraguayan Felix Perez (3-0) 62-50. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Carl A-Z. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Felix Perez dominated down low during the game scoring 38 of its points in the paint compared to Carl A-Z's 14. They outrebounded Carl A-Z 41-27 including 31 on the defensive glass. It was a good game for Spanish forward Gala Mestres (185-1994, college: Mount Royal) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 11 rebounds. Visiting Malvin was defeated by Quimsa in Santiado del Estero 69-57. Power forward Celia Fiorotto (186-1992) stepped up and scored 9 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and Lorena Campos chipped in 20 points. The best for the losing side was guard Carolina Fernandez (186-2003) with 20 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. It was the only win of host team this round and in all other games visitors recorded victories. Quimsa left bottom position moving up to third place, which they share with Aguada and Sportiva Ita. It was Malvin's third loss in a row. They still close the standings with three games lost.
