Mestres' double-double lands her Player of the Week award

27-year old forward Gala Mestres (185-F-1994) had a great game in the last round for league's best team Felix Perez and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 9.
She had a double-double of 23 points and 11 rebounds, while her team beat Carl A-Z (#2, 2-1) 62-50. It allowed Felix Perez to take over top position in the Liga SudAmericana group C. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is still on an early stage, but Felix Perez already had a very good start winning all 3 without losing a single one. In the team's last game Mestres had a remarkable 66.7% from 2-point range. She just recently signed at Felix Perez, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Mount Royal University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Mestres is league's best scorer averaging so far 22.7ppg. Third place about best performers goes to another Carl A-Z's star - guard Romina Rodriguez (167-PG-1992). Rodriguez scored 17 points and grabbed five rebounds.
