The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Brazilian SESI (2-1) in Asuncion on Sunday night. Visitors were defeated by Paraguayan Felix Perez (3-0) 80-75. Felix Perez made 21-of-25 free shots (84.0 percent) during the game. It was a great evening for American guard Jailin Cherry (173, college: LSU) who led her team to a victory scoring 37 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds. Her fellow American import forward Sarah Mgbeike (185, college: OLLU) helped adding 12 points and 5 rebounds. The best for the losing side was power forward Aline Moura (185-1997) with 16 points and 8 rebounds. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.

It was an exceptional evening for Cuban center Clenia Noblet (190-1987) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds. Marjorie Caicedo accounted for 16 points. Ambato Soldiers' coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Guard Fernanda Ovalle (178-2003, college: Xavier) came up with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 13 rebounds for CDSC in the defeat. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
