American Guard Jailin Cherry (173-G) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for top-ranked Felix Perez Cardozo Asuncion, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 3.
The player was the main contributor (37 points, six rebounds) to her team's victory, helping them to beat SESI (#2, 2-1) 80-75. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed Felix Perez to consolidate first place in the Liga SudAmericana. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is still on an early stage, but Felix Perez already had a very good start winning all 3 without losing a single one. In the team's last game Cherry had a remarkable seven three-pointers out of 9 attempts. She just recently signed at Felix Perez, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Former Louisiana State University star has very solid stats this year. Cherry is league's best scorer averaging so far 25.7ppg. Cherry is in league's top in and averages impressive 3.3spg and 59.1% from behind 3-point line.

The second best player in last round's games was young Cuban Clenia Noblet (190-C-1987) of Ambato Soldiers. Noblet had a very good evening with a double-double of 16 points and 11 rebounds. Of course she led Ambato Soldiers to another comfortable win 86-71 over CDSC (0-3) being unquestionably team leader. The season is still at the very beginning and this victory may help a lot. Let's wait for the next round. Noblet is one of the most experienced players at Ambato Soldiers and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third on the list of top players last round was another Ambato Soldiers' star - forward Marjorie Caicedo (180-PF-1990). Caicedo scored 16 points. She was another key player of Ambato Soldiers, helping her team with a 86-71 easy win against #4 ranked CDSC in a game of the week. The chances of Ambato Soldiers not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 2 games, recording just one victory.
