The biggest surprise took place in Buenos Aires where host Argentinian Obras (2-0) crushed league's leader Uruguayan Aguada (1-1) 81-52 on Friday evening. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Obras held Aguada to an opponent 25.0 percent shooting from the field compared to 45.5 percent accuracy of the winners. Obras forced 19 Aguada turnovers and outrebounded them 54-31 including a 36-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. 27 personal fouls committed by Aguada helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was Candela Gentinetta (181-2001) who had a double-double by scoring 17 points, 15 rebounds and 6 assists. Guard Valeria Fernandez (165-1998) chipped in 11 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists. Argentinian Agustina Marin (170-2003) produced 23 points and 5 rebounds for the guests.
