Here is the last round review presented by LBM Management.
The most exciting game of round 6 in the Liga Sudamericana took place in Aguada. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of one of their biggest challengers Bolivian Club de Tenis (1-2) to second ranked Uruguayan Aguada (2-1) 72-70 in the game for the second place. Strangely Club de Tenis outrebounded Aguada 60-41 including a 22-10 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a good game for forward Florencia Fernandez (175-1998) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 20 rebounds. Argentinian Agustina Marin (170-2003) contributed with 18 points for the winners. Aguada's coach used entire bench in such tough game. American swingman Nija Collier (183, college: Central Mo.) replied with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 23 rebounds for Club de Tenis. Aguada maintains second position with 2-1 record behind leader Obras, which they share with SESI. Defending Bolivian champion Club de Tenis keep the third place with two games lost. They share the position with Ambato Soldiers.
An interesting game for Argentinian Obras (3-0) which hosted in Buenos Aires 4th ranked Colombian Caldas (0-3). Top-ranked Obras had an easy win 76-48. Forward Delfina Gentinetta (175-2004) scored 14 points to lead the charge for the winners and Candela Gentinetta chipped in 10 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was forward Gabriela Chivata (165-2002) with 13 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Obras have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 3-0 record, which they share with Felix Perez. Newly promoted Caldas still closes the standings with three games lost. They share the position with CDSC.
