Fernandez's double-double lands her Player of the Week award

Florencia Fernandez

25-year old forward Florencia Fernandez (175-F-1998) had an amazing evening in the last round for second-ranked Atletico Aguada and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 6.
She had a double-double of 21 points and 20 rebounds, while her team edged out Club de Tenis (#3, 1-2) 72-70. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Aguada maintains the 2nd position in Liga SudAmericana . Fernandez turned to be Aguada's top player in her first season with the team. Fernandez has impressive league stats. She is in league's top in points (3rd best: 16.7ppg) and assists (8th best: 0.7apg).

Second best performed player last round was Nija Collier (183-G/F) of Club de Tenis La Paz. She is American swingman in her first season at Club de Tenis. In the last game Collier recorded an impressive double-double of 10 points and 23 rebounds. Bad luck as Club de Tenis was edged by slightly higher-ranked Aguada (#2, 2-1) 72-70.Collier is one of the most experienced players at Club de Tenis and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to another Club de Tenis' star - center Diana Cabrera (186-C-1993). Cabrera showcased her all-around game by recording 9 points, 17 rebounds (!!!) and 6 assists in the last round. Despite Cabrera's great performance the Club de Tenis La Paz lost 70-72 to #2 ranked Aguada. But her team cannot count on just these two top stars as they also need help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. Cabrera has individually a great season in Liga SudAmericana. After only 3 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 12.7ppg (9th best), rebounds with 15.7rpg (2nd best) and assists with 4.3apg (best passer).
