Mantarayas celebrate 2024 CBL title-Sep 11, 2024

Mantarayas conquered 2024 CBL title. They rallied past Jaguares 107-87 in the Final to claim the trophy. Mantarayas breezed past Toros 172-100 in the semifinal clash, while Jaguares held off Cuervos 86-79 in another semifinal. George Stanberry (185-G, college: Volunteer St.) was named the MVP. Chris Martin (196-G) clinched Offensive Player of the Year award, while Deangelo Craig bagged Defensive Player of the Year award.

George Stanberry, American guard from the Mantarrayas de Isla Mujeres, was selected as the Most Valuable Player of the Year at the Caribbean Basketball League. He graduated from the Volunteer State Community College five years ago. Stanberry was also named to the First Team.

Chris Martin, American guard from the Mantarrayas de Isla Mujeres, was honored as the Offensive Player of the Year of Caribbean Basketball League. He also earned a spot in the First Team.

D'Angelo Craig, American center from the Mantarrayas de Isla Mujeres, earned the Defensive Player of the Year at the Caribbean Basketball League. He was also voted to the First Team.

Tyler James, American guard from the Jaguares de Merida, was selected to the First Team of Caribbean Basketball League. He is the Westminster College, Pennsylvania alumni from 2023. James' college team won the PAC Tournament in 2021.

Myles Thompson, American guard from the Jaguares de Merida, was chosen to the First Team at the Caribbean Basketball League. He is ex the Oakland Community College from 2020. Among many awards he was voted to Latinbasket All-Mexican CBL First Team this season.
