Mieleras earned LMBPF title. They overcame Libelulas on the road to win the series 3-1. Mieleras dominated down low during the game scoring 38 of its points in the paint compared to Libelulas' 16. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Emmonnie Henderson (185-1994, college: Louisville) who helped to win the game recording 15 points and 8 rebounds and the former international swingman Daniela Soto (177-1995) who added 11 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Four Mieleras players scored in double figures. At the losing side Colombian guard Carolina Lopez (188-1998) responded with 11 points and 5 rebounds and forward Montserrat Onate (181-1998) scored 9 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
