Mark Strom
Mark Strom (193-G-82, college: Apprentice) the last 2 seasons you played in Mexico.

Eurobasket-Can you tell us more about your experience in Mexico and what you accomplished down there in those 2 years?

Mark Strom-The last 2 seasons in Mexico have been a great expierence for me because Mexico is one of the top Latin countries to play in.
Going thru my rookie season in San Luis helped me grow as a player which carried over to my second year. I feel that the LNBP league has a many great players and coaches, it is on the rise in the basketball world.

Eurobasket-Your mom is from Mexico City, besides you being american is it true you can play with the Mexico national team?
Mark Strom-Yes she was born in Mexico City and I have family that lives all over Mexico. I just received my Mexican citizenship and I will be eligable to play for the Mexico national team.

Eurobasket-What market you looking for right now and why?
Mark Strom-I do not have a preference on a country where I want to play right now, but I would like to play in a league where the competion is at a high level so that I can keep improving my game.

Eurobasket-What are your goals in the future?
Mark Strom-I plan on continuing to play at the professional level and make the most of every expierence that I am given. I would like to play in Spain someday because my grandfather is from there.

Eurobasket-Can you tell us a bit more about yourself as a player and as a person?
Mark Strom-As a player I am not concerned about how many points I score, I just want to win. I have always been a good scorer but I take the most pride in my defense. I am always looking for a challenge to shut some one down.
I am a people person, every team that I have played on I have built strong relationships that last a lifetime. In my spare time I value the time spent with friends and family.

Eurobasket-Why do you think a team should sign you and tell us how you play?
Mark Strom-I feel a team should sign me because I am a winner and I do whatever it takes to win. I also have a great attitude and plus I am a coachable player. I can score in many different ways and I am able to create open shots for my teammates. I take a lot of pride on the defense side of the ball, I was the best on the ball defender on the last 4 teams that I have played for. My natural position is a shooting guard but, I can also bring the ball up court and run the point position if necessary.
