Gambusinos sign Daviyon Draper

Gambusinos de Fresnillo (LNBP) signed 31-year old double-passport holder American forward Daviyon Draper (201cm-98kg-1994, college: FIU). He played last season at Obera Tennis Club in Argentinian La Liga. In 31 games he was the league's fourth-best scorer with an impressive 15.6ppg and averaged 6.7rpg, 1.2apg, and 1.3spg. The 2025-26 season was great as he was voted Latinbasket.com All-Argentinian League Forward of the Year, named to the All-Defensive Team, and named to the All-Imports Team.
He is quite an experienced player. Draper has played in nine different countries on four different continents (Europe, Latin America, Africa, and of course North America). He has played professionally in Argentina (Atenas and Estudiantes Concordia), Brazil (Paschoalotto/Bauru and Cerrado), Greece (Ifaistos), Holland (ZZ Leiden), Morocco (AS Sale), Paraguay (Olimpia Kings), Uruguay (Draperbraica), Mexico (Lenadores, Dorados, and Caballeros de Culiacan), and Dominican Republic (Marineros).
He won the Paraguayan LNB Apertura championship title in 2025.
Draper graduated from Florida International University in 2016 and it will be his eleventh (!!!) season as a professional player. He played also for Antelope Valley College for 2 years.
