Soles sign Jerome Meyinsse, ex Quimsa

Soles de Mexicali (LNBP) signed experienced 37-year-old American center Jerome Meyinsse (207cm-104kg-1988, college: Virginia). He played last season at Quimsa in Argentinian La Liga. In 49 games, he had 9.7ppg and 5.1rpg. He helped them to win the regular season and make it to the final. It was a good year as he was named League Player of the Week and named to Latinbasket.com All-Argentinian League Third Team.
Meyinsse is a highly experienced player, having played in seven different countries on four different continents - Europe, Asia, Latin America, and North America. He has played professionally in Argentina (Atenas, Regatas, Sionista, Sportivo 9 de Julio Rio Tercero, and San Lorenzo), Brazil (Flamengo), Israel (Ironi Nes Ziona), Japan (89ers), Puerto Rico (Mets), Venezuela (Trotamundos), and Mexico (Aaguacateros).
Among many awards, his team won the FIBA Europe Cup in 2021. He was voted to the Eurobasket.com Israeli League All-Imports Team in 2024. It's very possible he may end his playing career at Soles.
Meyinsse graduated from the University of Virginia in 2010, and this will be his 17th (!!!) season as a professional player.
