Santos add Jones to their roster

Santos de San Luis Potosi (LNBP) added 31-year old USA ex-international guard Jemerrio Jones to their roster. He played this summer at Frayles (CIBACOPA). In 54 games, he recorded 7.1ppg, 9.1rpg, 4.2apg, and 1.7spg. LNBP will be a better match for him, and he can expect more playing time. Jones helped them reach the Mexican CIBACOPA final after finishing the regular season as the second-best team. He was voted to Latinbasket.com All-Mexican CIBACOPA Honorable Mention for his impressive year. Last season, he was tested by KB Rahoveci (Superliga) in the Kosovan league.
In 2018, he was selected by the Santa Cruz Warriors (G-League) in the first round (18th overall).
Jones, who graduated from New Mexico State University, will be entering his tenth season in pro basketball. He was a member of the USA Senior National Team during 2020.
Jones is a highly experienced player. Thanks to Jones' pro career, he has played on three different continents (Europe, Latin America, and North America) in six different countries. He has played professionally in Greece (Aris), Kosovo, NBA (Milwaukee Bucks, LA Lakers, and Washington Wizards), NBA G League (South Bay Lakers, Delaware Blue Coats, Wisconsin Herd, and Osceola Magic), and NBA Summer League (Milwaukee Bucks and Washington Wizards).
Among many awards, he won the NBA G League Central Division championship title in 2020. He was selected as the All-WAC Player of the Year and was voted to the WAC All-Defensive Team back in 2018 during his college time. Jones also played for Hill College for 2 years.
