35-year old Argentinian guard Santiago Scala (186-G-1991) put on an amazing game in the last round for Diablos Rojos del Mexico and receives a Hoops Agents LNBP Player of the Week award for round 22.
He got a double-double of 27 points and 13 assists, while his team beat Correcaminos (#14, 3-14) 96-91. Diablos maintains the 8th position in Mexican LNBP. Diablos is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 9-11 record. In the team's last game Scala had a remarkable seven three-pointers out of 9 attempts. It was one of impressive evenings for him as usually he does not deliver so high stats. Scala has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in assists (4th best: 4.9apg) and averages solid 52.1% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Rigoberto Mendoza (191-SG-1992) of Astros de Jalisco. He is Dominican Rep. guard in his first season at Astros. In the last game Mendoza recorded an impressive 31 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists. Of course he led Astros to another comfortable win 98-83 over slightly higher-ranked Panteras (#3, 13-7) being unquestionably team leader. This victory allowed Astros to move up to 5th position in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 12-6 record is not bad and everything may still change. Mendoza is a newcomer at Astros and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to swingman Jahlil White (201-G/F-2001) of Santos de San Luis Potosi (#11). White scored 26 points and grabbed 9 rebounds. He was a key player of Santos, leading his team to a 109-78 easy win against slightly higher-ranked Gambusinos (#10, 8-12). The chances of Santos not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 12 games, recording just seven victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, White could try to bring Santos' a little bit higher in the standings. White has a very solid season. In 6 games in Mexico he scored 14.3ppg.
