The most exciting game of round 25 in the LNBP took place in Puebla. This derby game ended with only three-point home defeat of 4th placed Lobos (15-9) to seventh ranked Mineros (13-11) 84-81 on Sunday evening. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Lobos. Worth to mention a great performance of American-Argentinian guard Romeao Ferguson (196-1997, college: Lipscomb) who helped to win the game recording 15 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Argentinian point guard Joaquin Valinotti (185-1998) contributed with 16 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. British-Canadian Thomas Scrubb (198-1991, college: Carleton, agency: Octagon Europe) answered with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds for Lobos. Lobos' coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Mineros maintains seventh place with 13-11 record. Newly promoted Lobos dropped to the fifth position with nine games lost. Mineros are looking forward to face Abejas (#10) in Guanajuato in the next round. Lobos will play on the road against Correcaminos (#14) in Ciudad Victoria and are hoping to win this game.
LNBP top team - Soles (19-5) had no problems winning another game. This time they beat sixth ranked Dorados (14-10) in Chihuahua 98-81. American-Georgian guard Joe Thomasson (193-1993, college: Wright St., agency: Octagon Europe) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 10 points, 6 rebounds and 10 assists for the winners and Jordan Sakho chipped in 14 points and 7 rebounds (perfect from the field making all six shots). At the losing side American-Filipino guard Mikh McKinney (184-1992, college: Sacramento St.) responded with 20 points and 6 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Soles maintains first place with 19-5 record.
