Hector
Hernandez
Former international Power forward Hector Hernandez (205-PF-85, agency: BeoBasket) had a very impressive game in the last round for Capitanes, receiving a Latinbasket.com LNBP Player of the Week award for round 10.
The 32-year old player was the main contributor (36 points, three rebounds and three assists) to as his team Capitanes moved-up to the 3rd position in Mexican LNBP. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Capitanes will need to avoid more loses keep or improve their 6-4 record. In the team's last game Hernandez had a remarkable seven three-pointers out of 11 attempts. He turned to be Capitanes' top player in his first season with the team. Hector Hernandez averages this season 16.8ppg and 6.7rpg.

The second best player in last round's games was 27-year old American Eugene Phelps (198-F-90) of league's leader Soles. Phelps had a very good evening with a double-double of 18 points and 14 rebounds. Of course Soles cruised to a 92-80 relatively comfortable win over the lower-ranked Abejas (#8, 3-5). Of course Soles still keep the league's top spot. His team has currently 7-3 record. Phelps is a newcomer at Soles, but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was American forward Michael Glover (203-F/C-87) of Panteras (#9). Glover scored 18 points and grabbed seven rebounds. He was a key player of Panteras, leading his team to a 109-101 win against the higher-ranked Capitanes (#3, 6-4). The chances of Panteras not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 5 games, recording just three victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Glover could try to bring Panteras' a little bit higher in the standings. Glover has individually a great season in Mexico. After only 8 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 21.3ppg (3rd best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Christopher Gaston (201-PF-89) of Aaguacateros - 18 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists
5. Kleon Penn (213-C-86) of Correcaminos - 10 points and 15 rebounds
6. Jorge Bryan Diaz (210-C-89) of Toros - 14 points and 7 rebounds
7. Juan Coronado (193-G-83) of Aaguacateros - 18 points, 3 rebounds and 7 assists
8. Reginald Larry (198-F-86) of Abejas - 16 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists
9. Emmanuel Andujar (198-F-93) of Capitanes - 16 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists
10. Jose David Estrada (194-G-94) of Capitanes - 15 points and 3 rebounds

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
