26-year old point guard Jeffery Stubbs (189-PG-91) had an amazing evening in the last round for Durango and receives a Interperformances Player of the Week award for round 21.
He got a double-double of 38 points and 11 assists, while his team beat Tijuana (13-10) 93-82. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Durango maintains the 4th position in Mexican league. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Durango will need more victories to improve their 13-10 record. In the team's last game Stubbs had a remarkable 86.7% from 2-point range. He turned to be Durango's top player in his first season with the team. Jackson State University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Stubbs is in league's top in points (3rd best: 22.3ppg) and averages solid 56.6% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Sammy Yeager (193-F-89) of Guasave. He is American forward in his first season at Guasave. In the last game Yeager recorded impressive 30 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists. It was enough for Guasave to edge slightly lower-ranked Guaymas (#6, 12-10) by 5 points 87-82. Guasave's 5th position in the standings has not changed. His team lost some distance to top teams. But 13-10 record is not bad and everything may still change. Yeager is a newcomer at Guasave and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 24.9ppg (#1). His other stats are also decent: 5.8rpg and 5.3apg.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Carl Hall (202-F-89) of Mazatlan (#9). Hall scored 28 points and grabbed nine rebounds. Despite Hall's great performance Mazatlan lost 94-114 to slightly lower-ranked Los Mochis (#10, 6-17). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Mazatlan not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 16 games, recording just seven victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Hall could try to bring Mazatlan's a little bit higher in the standings. Hall has a very solid season. In 11 games in Mexico he scored 19.7ppg. He also has 7.3rpg and FGP: 57.2%.

Other top performing players last week:
4. J.R. Giddens (196-F/G-85) of Obregon - 26 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists
5. Jesus Villalobos (184-SG-86) of Culiacan - 21 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists
6. Bruce Massey (190-G-90) of Culiacan - 21 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists
7. Emmanuel Little (196-F-85) of Hermosillo - 18 points, 15 rebounds and 5 assists
