American Swingman J.R. Giddens (196-F/G-85, agency: Interperformances) had a great game in the last round for CORRECAMINOS, receiving a Interperformances LNBP Player of the Week award for round 9.
The 33-year old player was the main contributor (36 points, nine rebounds and three assists) to his team's victory, helping them to outclass, the league's bottom-ranked team Huracanes (#7, 0-8) with 30-point margin 114-84. Correcaminos is placed at 4th position in their group in Mexican LNBP. Correcaminos is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 3-5 record. In the team's last game Giddens had a remarkable 91.7% from 2-point range and got four three-pointers out of 9 attempts. He turned to be Correcaminos' top player in his first season with the team. J.R. Giddens averages this season 15.2ppg.

The second best player in last round's games was 26-year old American guard Cezar Guerrero (185-G-92, agency: Best of You Sports) of Libertadores. Guerrero had a very good evening with a double-double of 30 points and 11 rebounds. Of course he led Libertadores to another comfortable win outscoring slightly higher-ranked Soles (#4, 4-4) 115-95. This victory allowed Libertadores to move up to 5th position in South. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 4-6 record. Guerrero is a newcomer at Libertadores, but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was another CORRECAMINOS's star - American forward Aaron Perez (196-F-86). Perez scored 19 points and grabbed fifteen rebounds (!!!). He was another key player of Correcaminos, helping his team with a 114-84 easy win against Huracanes (#7, 0-8). The chances of Correcaminos not to end season at such low position in North, however are less than slim as they have already lost 5 games, recording just three victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Perez could try to bring Correcaminos' a little bit higher in the standings. Perez has individually a great season in Mexico. After only 7 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 9.7rpg (3rd best). Aaron Perez has also Mexican passport and can play in the league with a status of domestic player.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Brent Jackson (193-G/F-94) of Libertadores - 32 points and 7 rebounds
5. Stedmon Lemon (198-F-92) of Panteras - 30 points and 4 rebounds
6. Javier Mojica (190-SG-84) of Lenadores - 25 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists
7. Joseph Soto (190-G-93) of Lenadores - 22 points and 6 assists
8. Carlos Lopez-Sosa (208-F-90) of Angeles - 19 points, 10 rebounds and 3 assists
9. Michael Carey Jr. (196-G-93) of Huracanes - 31 points and 5 rebounds
10. Jonathan Rodriguez (196-G/F-87) of Mineros - 20 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)

The Player of the Week awards are presented by Interperformances. Interperformances is a full-service agency specializing in the representation of professional athletes the world-over.
