An interesting game for Mineros (13-3) which played road game in Mexicali against 3rd placed Soles (8-8). First ranked Mineros managed to get a 4-point victory 114-110. Mineros dominated down low during the game scoring 76 of its points in the paint compared to Soles' 56. The former international point guard Orlando Mendez-Valdez (175-86, college: W.Kentucky, agency: Pro Sports) answered with a double-double by scoring 35 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 11 assists (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!) for Soles. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Mineros maintains first place with 13-3 record. Soles at the other side dropped to the fourth position with eight games lost. They share it with Correcaminos and Laguneros. Mineros are looking forward to face Panteras (#3) in Aguascalientes in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Soles will play on the road against Correcaminos in Ciudad Victoria and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
An interesting game for Lenadores (9-6) which played road game in Michoacan against second-ranked Aaguacateros (11-5). Third ranked Lenadores managed to get a 4-point victory 96-92.
