LNBP is at the halfway of the Regular Season and there are still another 21 rounds left. There was no lack of interesting games this round. The round ended with defeat of the leader and favorites losing the games. Here is the last round review presented by ESL.

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Capitanes (13-6) in Mexico on Sunday night. Hosts were rolled over by Mineros (16-4) 98-68. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Capitanes. They outrebounded Capitanes 42-31 including 30 on the defensive glass. Mineros shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 51.9 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Capitanes' players. Dominican-Puerto Rican swingman Jonathan Rodriguez (196-87, college: Campbell) stepped up and scored 22 points and 7 rebounds for the winners and American guard Jordan Williams (198-92, college: N.Texas) chipped in 15 points and 6 rebounds. Mineros' coach Manuel Cintron felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was Panamanian forward Ernesto Oglivie (203-89) with 9 points and 12 rebounds. Mineros maintains first place with 16-4 record which they share with defeated Capitanes. Capitanes at the other side still keep top position with six games lost. Mineros are looking forward to face Angeles (#7) in Puebla in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Capitanes will play on the road against the league's second-placed Fuerza Regia (#2) in Monterrey and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Important game to mention about took place in Queretaro. Fifth ranked Laguneros (10-10) saved a 1-point victory on the road edging 6th ranked Libertadores (7-12) 94-93 on Sunday evening. American forward Mychal Ammons (198-92, college: S.Alabama) nailed 26 points for the winning side and Akeem Scott accounted for 12 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. American swingman Brent Jackson (193-94, college: Columbus St.) came up with 30 points and 6 rebounds for Libertadores in the defeat. Laguneros moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Correcaminos and Panteras. Libertadores at the other side keep the sixth position with 12 games lost. Laguneros will play against Panteras (#4) in Aguascalientes in the next round. Libertadores will play on the road against Santos in San Luis Potosi and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Seventh-ranked Angeles (5-15) gave a tough game to third ranked Lenadores (10-8) in Puebla on Saturday. The visitors managed to secure only two-point victory 93-91. However their fans expected much easier game. The best player for the winners was Jarrid Famous who had a double-double by scoring 35 points (!!!) and 12 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Filiberto Rivera who recorded 25 points, 5 assists and 5 steals. Newly promoted Lenadores maintains third place with 10-8 record having eight points less than leader Capitanes. Angeles lost fifth consecutive game. Angeles at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keep the seventh position with 15 games lost. Lenadores will meet at home league's second-placed Soles in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Angeles will play against the league's leader Mineros (#1) and hope to secure a win.

Correcaminos maintains fourth place with 10-10 record, which they share with Panteras and Laguneros. Aaguacateros at the other side keep the third position with nine games lost. Correcaminos' next round opponent will be Abejas (#5) in Guanajuato. Aaguacateros will play on the road against Huracanes in Tampico and hope to win that game.

Aaguacateros will play on the road against Huracanes in Tampico and hope to win that game.

There were no shocking results in the rest of the games of round 21: Fuerza Regia won against Panteras on the opponent's court 94-76. Soles managed to outperform Huracanes in a home game 84-68. Santos recorded a loss to Abejas on the road 98-87.
The most impressive stats of the last round was 10 points, 17 rebounds and 9 assists by Aaron Perez of CORRECAMINOS.

Rather expected game in Aguascalientes where 4th placed Panteras (10-10) were defeated by second ranked Fuerza Regia (14-6) 94-76 on Saturday. Fuerza Regia outrebounded Panteras 46-29 including a 32-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. American forward Jordan Glynn (200-89, college: SF Austin) stepped up and scored 31 points and 9 rebounds for the winners and Nigerian center Jeleel Akindele (216-83, college: Chicago St., agency: BeoBasket) chipped in 23 points and 11 rebounds. The best for the losing side was American forward Stedmon Lemon (198-92, college: Johnson C. Smith) with 32 points and 5 rebounds and naturalized American forward Jesse Lopez (201-94, college: Sam Houston St.) scored 14 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. Fuerza Regia have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain second place with 14-6 record having just two points less than leader Capitanes. Everything could happen in Guanajuato at the game between two tied teams. Both fifth ranked Abejas and 6th ranked Santos had identical 8-11 record. This time Abejas used a home court advantage and won against the opponent from San Luis Potosi 98-87 on Sunday night. Abejas looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Americans were the main players on the court. Power forward Yancy Gates (206-89, college: Cincinnati) stepped up and scored 21 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and guard Gary Ricks (185-91, college: Drake) chipped in 18 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists.
