GUSTAVO AYON
We bring you last week's top performances from Mexicans who are playing abroad and who all have had prior experience of national team duties at youth or senior level.

Gustavo Ayon
Gustavo Ayon
#1. This week's number one is an experienced international center Gustavo Ayon (207-85, college: San Jose St., currently plays in Euroleague). He could not help one of league's weakest teams Real Madrid (12-3) to beat Fenerbahce (14-1). Ayon scored 8 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in 23 minutes on the court. Real Madrid was edged 65-63 on the road by the leading Fenerbahce. The Regular Season already ended in the Euroleague. It's Ayon's fifth season with the team. This year he averages: 8.7ppg, 6.5rpg, 3.8apg, 1.2spg, 2FGP: 74.5%(38-51) and FT: 64.7% in 10 games he played so far. Ayon is currently a member of the Mexican senior national team.

Francisco Cruz

He was not able to help one of league's weakest teams one of league's weakest teams Baloncesto Fuenlabrada (5-8) in their last game on Saturday. Despite Cruz's very good performance Baloncesto Fuenlabrada was defeated 89-80 on the opponent's court by the higher-ranked Burgos (#13). He was the top scorer with 19 points. Cruz also added 4 assists. Cruz has relatively good stats this season: 13.5ppg, 1.4rpg, 2.0apg, 2FGP: 53.9%, 3FGP: 46.4%(26-56) and FT: 76.2%.
