RAYVONTE RICE

American Guard Rayvonte Rice (193-G-92) had a great game in the last round for second-ranked Soles, receiving a Interperformances LNBP Player of the Week award for round 24.
The 26-year old player was the main contributor (29 points, seven rebounds and six assists) to his team's victory, helping them to beat Santos (#6, 9-15) 97-89. Soles maintains the 2nd position in their group in Mexican LNBP. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Soles will need more victories to improve their 15-9 record. In the team's last game Rice had a remarkable 62.5% from 2-point range. He turned to be Soles' top player in his first season with the team. Rayvonte Rice averages this season 24.5ppg.

The second best player in last round's games was 30-year old American Gerard DeVaughn (206-F/C-88) of Libertadores. DeVaughn had a very good evening with 29 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists. Bad luck as Libertadores lost that game 86-92 to the higher-ranked Mineros (#1, 19-5). Libertadores managed to keep the same 6th spot in North. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 8-15 record. DeVaughn is well-known at Libertadores and is a proven leader in his second season with the team. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 19.0ppg (#8). He also registered 10.0 boards per game. Former Stillman College star DeVaughn is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market.

Third on the list of top players last round was American forward Bryan Davis (206-F/C-86) of Angeles (#7). Davis showcased his all-around game by recording 24 points, twelve rebounds (!!!) and four assists in the last round. Despite Davis' great performance Angeles lost 88-90 to the higher-ranked Correcaminos (#4, 12-12). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. Angeles can only dream about fighting for top spots in North. They have rather bad season and 7-17 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Too bad for Davis he does not play for a better team. But maybe if he did, his season stats would not be that high. Davis has a very solid season. In 12 games in Mexico he scored 16.3ppg. He also has 7.8rpg and FGP: 59.3%.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Stephen Soriano (200-F-85) of Lenadores - 24 points, 2 rebounds and 5 assists
5. Ismael Romero (203-C-91) of Capitanes - 18 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists
6. Carlos Lopez-Sosa (208-F-90) of Angeles - 24 points and 11 rebounds
7. Jordan Williams (198-G-92) of Mineros - 25 points and 3 rebounds
8. Daniel Giron (193-G-89) of Capitanes - 16 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists
9. Timajh Parker-Rivera (202-F-94) of Huracanes - 13 points, 12 rebounds and 2 assists
10. Jose Guitian (207-F-87) of Correcaminos - 12 points and 16 rebounds

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
