BRANDEN DAWSON

25-year old forward Branden Dawson (198-F-93) had a great game in the last round for second-ranked Soles and receives a Interperformances LNBP Player of the Week award for round 29.
He had a double-double of 25 points and 18 rebounds, while his team crushed Correcaminos (#4, 13-15) with 21-point margin 111-90. Soles maintains the 2nd position in their group in Mexican LNBP. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Soles will need more victories to improve their 17-11 record. Dawson turned to be Soles' top player in his first season with the team. Branden Dawson averages this season 15.3ppg and 7.0rpg.

Second best performed player last round was Bryan Davis (206-F/C-86) of Angeles. He is American forward in his first season at Angeles. In the last game Davis recorded impressive double-double of 30 points and 13 rebounds. It was enough for Angeles to edge slightly higher-ranked Huracanes (#7, 5-23) by 3 points 96-93. Angeles' 7th position in North has not changed. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 9-19 record. Davis is a newcomer at Angeles and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Lyonell Gaines (198-F-93, agency: Best of You Sports) of Santos (#6). Gaines scored 29 points and grabbed fourteen rebounds (!!!). Despite Gaines' great performance Santos lost 83-90 to the higher-ranked Aaguacateros (#3, 16-10). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Santos not to end season at such low position in North, however are less than slim as they have already lost 18 games, recording just ten victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Gaines could try to bring Santos' a little bit higher in the standings. Gaines has individually a great season in Mexico. After 28 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 22.9ppg (2nd best) and rebounds with 9.4rpg (4th best). Gaines attended one of camps at Eurobasket Summer League on his way to pro basketball.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Benjamin Puckett (205-C-83) of Panteras - 25 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists
5. Tyrone White (201-PG-90) of Aaguacateros - 29 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists
6. Manuel Hernandez (193-F/G-91) of Huracanes - 35 points and 2 assists
7. Joseph Soto (190-G-93) of Lenadores - 19 points, 4 rebounds and 10 assists
8. Hameed Ali (188-G-93) of Panteras - 28 points, 4 rebounds and 7 assists
9. Jaron Martin (178-PG-94) of Santos - 18 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists
10. Ismael Romero (203-C-91) of Capitanes - 22 points and 3 rebounds

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
