Here is the weekly review of the top performing Mexican players, who play currently abroad.

   #1. This week's number one is an experienced international center Gustavo Ayon (207-85, college: San Jose St., currently plays in Spain). He led Real Madrid to a 2-point victory over the ninth-ranked Zaragoza (8-8) 98-96 in the Spanish Liga Endesa in Sunday night's game. Ayon was MVP of the game. He had a double-double by scoring 20 points and getting 12 rebounds. Ayon also added 3 assists in 29 minutes on the court. Real Madrid (12-4) is placed third in the Liga Endesa. It's Ayon's fifth season with the team. This year he averages: 7.8ppg, 6.7rpg, 2.6apg, 2FGP: 62.1%(36-58) in 10 games he played so far. Ayon is currently a member of the Mexican senior national team.

   #2. Second place goes to an international point guard Paul Stoll (180-85, currently plays in Israel). He was the major contributor in a Maccabi Ashdod's victory against one of league's weakest teams Bnei Hasharon (4-10) crushing them 94-73 in the Israeli Winner League last Sunday. Stoll recorded a double-double by scoring 24 points and making 10 passes. He also added 5 rebounds and 5 steals (was perfect 6-for-6 from the free throw line). Maccabi Ashdod/Be'er Tuvia (8-5) is placed third in the Winner League. It was his team's fourth consecutive victory in a row. It's Stoll's first season with the team. Stoll has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 18.0ppg, 3.9rpg, 6.9apg, 3.6spg, 2FGP: 51.7% and FT: 78.3%. Stoll is a naturalized American. He is in the roster of the Mexican senior national team. Stoll used to play for Algodoneros de La Comarca - Torreon in Mexican league.

   #3. The Mexican player who performed third best last week abroad was an international point guard Alexander Perez Kaufmann (191-93, agency: Pro Sports, currently plays in Turkey). He contributed to an Banvit's surprising victory against the fifth-ranked Turk Telekom (8-7) crushing them 87-66 in the Turkish BSL on Saturday night. Perez Kaufmann scored 7 points and added 5 assists in 27 minutes. Banvit Basketbol Kulubu (5-9) is placed 12th in the BSL. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. Perez Kaufmann has relatively good stats this year: 12.3ppg, 2.4rpg, 5.7apg, 2FGP: 54.1%, 3FGP: 30.2% and FT: 85.2% in 14 games. Ex-Soles de Mexicali player is also a member of the Mexican senior national team.

Guard Francisco Cruz (190-89, college: Wyoming, currently plays in Spain) managed to help Montakit Fuenlabrada to win against the closely-ranked Blusens Monbus (6-10) 84-83 in the Spanish Liga Endesa in Saturday night's game. He recorded only 4 points and added 5 passes. Montakit Fuenlabrada (6-10) is placed 14th in the Liga Endesa. This season Cruz has relatively solid stats: 13.7ppg, 1.8rpg and 2.4apg. He is also Mexican national team player.

   #5. International guard Jorge Gutierrez (191-88, college: California, currently plays in Spain). Gutierrez could not help Gipuzkoa (3-13) to beat La ICL Manresa (9-7). He recorded 8 points and added 4 passes in 21 minutes. The bottom-ranked Gipuzkoa lost in an overtime 85-91 at home to the much higher-ranked (#7) La ICL Manresa. It was Gipuzkoa's seventh consecutive loss in a row. This year Gutierrez's overall stats are: 6.9ppg, 1.9rpg and 2.6apg in 16 games. He plays currently for the Mexican national team.

   #6. Point guard Bryan Urrutia (185-97, currently plays college basketball in the States), who plays in the NCAA was not able to help the Md-E Shore (0-2) in their last game on Monday. Despite Urrutia's good performance his team was defeated 67-58 on the road by the North Carolina A&T State University. He scored 10 points, had 9 rebounds and dished 6 assists. The Regular Season already ended in the NCAA. Urrutia's total stats this season are: 6.0ppg, 3.4rpg, 5.1apg and 1.7spg. He is a former university international player as he played for the Mexican team two years ago.

International guard Diego Willis (190-99, currently studies in the States) was not able to secure a victory for the NJIT (1-0) in their game against the David Lipscomb University (0-1) in the NCAA. Willis scored 9 points in 18 minutes. Buthis team was badly defeated 70-52 in Nashville by the David Lipscomb University. His team will play only one more game in the NCAA Regular Season. And that game will be critical. This year Willis' total stats are: 2.0ppg and 1.6rpg in 16 games. He is also Mexican national team player.

BRANDEN DAWSON American Forward Branden Dawson (198-F-93) put on an amazing game in the last round for second-ranked Soles, receiving a Interperformances LNBP Player of the Week award for round 42. The 25-year old player had a double-double of 17 points and 13 rebounds, while his team outclassed Angeles (#7, 13-27) with 33-point margin 104-71. LNBP Round 42: Aaguacateros lose to Capitanes in the game between Top 4 teams - 2 days ago
Here is the last round review presented by ESL. The game between Top Four teams took place in Mexico. First ranked host Capitanes (26-13) smashed 3rd ranked Aaguacateros (23-16) 92-69. They outrebounded Aaguacateros 40-29 including 28 on the defensive glass. Capitanes looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. DENIS CLEMENTE 32-year old point guard Denis Clemente (183-PG-86) had an amazing evening in the last round for second-ranked Mineros and receives a Interperformances LNBP Player of the Week award for round 41. He had the game-high 29 points adding eight rebounds and four assists for Mineros in his team's victory, helping them to edge out Huracanes (#7, 6-32) 89-87.
