We bring you last week's top performances from Mexicans who are playing abroad and who all have had prior experience of national team duties at youth or senior level.

   #1. This week's number one is an international point guard Alexander Perez Kaufmann (191-93, agency: Pro Sports, currently plays in Basketball Champions League). He led his Turkish team Banvit to a victory against the seventh-ranked Anwil (4-9) 95-84 in the Basketball Champions League in Wednesday night's game. Perez Kaufmann recorded 18 points and added 6 assists in 38 minutes on the court. Banvit Basketbol Kulubu (9-4) is placed second in group A. It was his team's fourth consecutive victory in a row. They will play only one more game in the Basketball Champions League Regular Season. And that game will be critical. Perez Kaufmann has relatively good stats this year: 12.7ppg, 3.5rpg, 4.8apg, 1.8spg, 2FGP: 47.9%, 3FGP: 35.9% and FT: 70.3% in 13 games he played so far. Ex-Soles de Mexicali player is currently a member of the Mexican senior national team.

   #2. Second place goes to an experienced international center Gustavo Ayon (207-85, college: San Jose St., currently plays in Spain). He managed to help Real Madrid to win against the 16th-ranked Baloncesto Fuenlabrada (6-12) 89-79 in a derby game in the Spanish Liga Endesa last Sunday. Ayon scored only 4 points, had 7 rebounds and dished 5 assists. Real Madrid (14-4) is placed second in the Liga Endesa. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. It's Ayon's fifth season with the team. This year he averages: 7.3ppg, 6.5rpg, 2.6apg and FT: 55.6%. Ayon is in the roster of the Mexican senior national team.

   #3. The Mexican player who performed third best last week abroad was an international point guard Paul Stoll (180-85, currently plays in Israel). He could not help Maccabi Ashdod (11-5) in their last game. Despite Stoll's very good performance Maccabi Ashdod lost 100-104 on the road to the leading Maccabi T-A. He had a double-double by scoring 30 points and making 10 passes. Stoll also added 5 rebounds (made all of his eight free throws) in 49 minutes. It's Stoll's first season with the team. He has individually a very good year with high stats. Stoll averages: 18.0ppg, 3.9rpg, 6.9apg, 3.7spg, 2FGP: 54.1%, 3FGP: 38.2% and FT: 81.5% in 13 games. He is a naturalized American. Stoll is also a member of the Mexican senior national team. He used to play for Algodoneros de La Comarca - Torreon in Mexican league.

   #4. Guard Francisco Cruz (190-89, college: Wyoming, currently plays in Spain) faced previously mentioned Gustavo Ayon in the Spanish Liga Endesa last game. Cruz was not able to help Baloncesto Fuenlabrada in their game against Real Madrid (14-4). He scored 7 points. Baloncesto Fuenlabrada was defeated 89-79 in a derby game by the second-ranked Real Madrid. This season Cruz has relatively solid stats: 12.9ppg, 1.7rpg and 2.3apg. He is also Mexican national team player.

   #5. Former University international point guard Bryan Urrutia (185-97, currently plays college basketball in the States), who plays in the NCAA was not able to secure a victory for the Md-E Shore (1-4) in their last game. Despite Urrutia's good performance his team lost 57-72 at home to the Howard University. He scored 11 points, grabbed 6 rebounds and dished 5 assists in 37 minutes. This year Urrutia's overall stats are: 6.0ppg, 3.2rpg, 5.3apg and 1.6spg in 20 games. He used to play for the Mexican university national team two years ago.

Diego Willis
Diego Willis
   #6. Guard Diego Willis (190-99, currently studies in the States) contributed to an easy victory against the Stetson University (2-2) crushing them 82-59 in the NCAA on Thursday night. Willis recorded 5 points and added 3 passes. The New Jersey Institute of Technology has 2-2 conference record this season. Willis' total stats this year are: 2.1ppg and 1.8rpg. He is an international player who is currently on the senior Mexican National Team roster.

The 25-year old player had a double-double of 17 points and 13 rebounds, while his team outclassed Angeles (#7, 13-27) with 33-point margin 104-71. Here is the last round review presented by ESL. The game between Top Four teams took place in Mexico. First ranked host Capitanes (26-13) smashed 3rd ranked Aaguacateros (23-16) 92-69. They outrebounded Aaguacateros 40-29 including 28 on the defensive glass. Capitanes looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. DENIS CLEMENTE 32-year old point guard Denis Clemente (183-PG-86) had an amazing evening in the last round for second-ranked Mineros and receives a Interperformances LNBP Player of the Week award for round 41. He had the game-high 29 points adding eight rebounds and four assists for Mineros in his team's victory, helping them to edge out Huracanes (#7, 6-32) 89-87.
