LANCE GOULBOURNE

American Forward Lance Goulbourne (203-F-89) had a great game in the last round for second-ranked Soles, receiving a Interperformances LNBP Player of the Week award for round 39.
The 29-year old player was the main contributor (28 points, eight rebounds and four assists) to his team's victory, helping them to edge out Aaguacateros (#3, 20-15) 80-76. Soles maintains the 2nd position in their group in Mexican LNBP. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Soles will need more victories to improve their 21-13 record. In the team's last game Goulbourne had a remarkable 77.8% from 2-point range and got four three-pointers out of 6 attempts. He turned to be Soles' top player in his first season with the team. Former Vanderbilt University star has very solid stats this year. Goulbourne is in league's top in rebounds (9th best: 8.5rpg) and averages impressive 40.8% from behind 3-point line.

The second best player in last round's games was 26-year old American Mychal Ammons (198-F-92) of Laguneros. Ammons had a very good evening with 24 points, 8 rebounds and 2 assists. Of course he led Laguneros to another comfortable win 91-77 over the lower-ranked Huracanes (#7, 6-32) being unquestionably team leader. Laguneros' 4th position in North has not changed. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 18-20 record. Ammons is a newcomer at Laguneros, but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was James Alvarez of Santos (#6). Alvarez scored 23 points and grabbed five rebounds. He was a key player of Santos, leading his team to a 106-98 win against slightly higher-ranked Correcaminos (#5, 17-20). The chances of Santos not to end season at such low position in North, however are less than slim as they have already lost 26 games, recording just twelve victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Alvarez could try to bring Santos' a little bit higher in the standings. Alvarez has a very solid season. In 19 games in Mexico he scored 6.2ppg.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Theron Laudermill (202-PF-89) of Correcaminos - 19 points, 13 rebounds and 3 assists
