   #1. This week's number one is an experienced international center Gustavo Ayon (207-85, college: San Jose St., currently plays in Euroleague). He could not help Real Madrid (17-5) in their last game. Despite Ayon's good performance Real Madrid lost 78-82 on the road to the lower-ranked (#3) CSKA. He was the second best scorer with 11 points. Ayon also added 6 rebounds, 6 assists and made 2 blocks in 25 minutes on the court. It's Ayon's fifth season with the team. This year he averages: 8.7ppg, 6.3rpg, 3.7apg, 2FGP: 70.1%(68-97) and FT: 55.3% in 18 games he played so far. Ayon is currently a member of the Mexican senior national team.

   #2. Second place goes to an international point guard Alexander Perez Kaufmann (191-93, agency: Pro Sports, currently plays in Turkey). He was not able to help Banvit (6-11) in their last game on Monday. Despite Perez Kaufmann's very good performance Banvit was defeated 93-85 in Istanbul by the leading Anadolu Efes. He scored 16 points, had 4 rebounds and dished 3 assists. It's Perez Kaufmann's first season with the team. Perez Kaufmann has relatively good stats this year: 12.4ppg, 2.4rpg, 5.2apg, 2FGP: 56.0%(61-109), 3FGP: 28.8% and FT: 83.3%. Ex-Soles de Mexicali player is in the roster of the Mexican senior national team.

   #3. The Mexican player who performed third best last week abroad was an international guard Francisco Cruz (190-89, college: Wyoming, currently plays in Spain). He was not able to secure a victory for Baloncesto Fuenlabrada (7-13) in their last game. Despite Cruz's very good performance Baloncesto Fuenlabrada was crushed 106-76 in Barcelona by the leading FC Barcelona. He was the top scorer with 22 points in 24 minutes. This year Cruz has relatively solid stats: 14.1ppg, 1.6rpg, 2.3apg, 2FGP: 53.9%, 3FGP: 44.9% and FT: 76.7% in 20 games. Ex-Fuerza Guinda Nogales player is also a member of the Mexican senior national team.

Paul Stoll

   #4. Point guard Paul Stoll (180-85, currently plays in Israel) led Maccabi Ashdod to a victory against the closely-ranked Ironi Nes-Ziona (8-9) 80-75 in the Israeli Winner League in Tuesday night's game. He scored 12 points and added 3 passes. Maccabi Ashdod/Be'er Tuvia (12-6) is placed fourth in the Winner League. It was his team's eighth consecutive victory in a row. Stoll has individually a very good season with high stats. He averages: 17.5ppg, 3.7rpg, 6.9apg and 3.3spg. Stoll is a naturalized American. He is also Mexican national team player. Stoll used to play for Algodoneros de La Comarca - Torreon in Mexican league.

   #5. Former University international point guard Bryan Urrutia (185-97, currently plays college basketball in the States), who plays in the NCAA couldn't help the Md-E Shore (1-4) in their last game. Despite his good performance his team was crushed 78-53 at home by the North Carolina Central. Urrutia scored 10 points, grabbed 4 boards, dished 7 assists and stole 3 balls in 36 minutes. There are only four games left until the end of the NCAA Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. This year Urrutia's overall stats are: 7.0ppg, 3.3rpg, 5.4apg and 1.6spg in 24 games. He used to play for the Mexican university national team two years ago.

   #6. Guard Diego Willis (190-99, currently studies in the States) couldn't help the NJIT (2-2) in their game against the Florida Gulf Coast University (4-0) in the NCAA. Willis scored 6 points. his team was edged 57-55 on their home court in Newark by the Florida Gulf Coast University. Willis' total stats this season are: 2.1ppg and 1.7rpg. He is an international player who is currently on the senior Mexican National Team roster.

TIM BOND American Shooting guard Tim Bond (201-SG-95) put on an amazing game in the last round for Guaymas, receiving a Interperformances Player of the Week award for round 12. The 23-year old player had a double-double of 22 points and 10 rebounds, while his team crushed Culiacan (#6, 12-12) with 16-point margin 93-77. There was no lack of excitement in the last round games. The round ended with defeat of the leader and favorites losing the games. Here is the last round review presented by ESL. The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Rayos de Hermosillo (16-8) in Mazatlan on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by seventh ranked Venados (12-14) 89-84.
