CHRISTOPHE MASSIE

Panteras de Aguascalientes (LNBP) added to their roster experienced 41-year old American center Christophe Massie (206-115kg-77, college: Memphis). It is actually his comeback to Panteras as he has played here before. Massie played last summer at Universitarios in Panamanian LPB league. In 13 games he recorded 11.6ppg, 11.8rpg (#2 in the league) and 1.2apg. Massie helped them to win the league title. A very spectacular season in his career as he was selected Latinbasket.com All-Panamanian LPB Clausura Finals MVP, Center of the Year and voted to 1st Team. The last season he played at Panteras where in 17 LNBP games he averaged 12.8ppg, 9.9rpg and 1.5apg. Great season indeed as he was voted to Latinbasket.com All-Mexican LNBP Honorable Mention.
Massie is quite experienced player. His career allowed him to visit four different continents, while he played in eleven different countries. Massie tasted the life as pro basketball player in Europe, Asia, Latin America and of course North America. He has played previously professionally in Argentina (Sionista), Bosnia (Igokea), France (Limoges CSP Elite and JSF Nanterre), Greece (Gymnastikos Olympia Larissas and Trikalla), Israel, Italy, Puerto Rico (Atleticos), Spain, Uruguay (Aguada), Venezuela (Marinos) and South Korea (LG Sakers).
Massie is close to retirement age as a player. It's very possible he may end his playing career at Panteras.
Massie attended University of Memphis until 2003 and it will be his 16th (!!!) season as a professional player.
On Massie: Very physical player who has great size. He's terrific around the basket but has the skills where he can move out to the perimeter. My question is where his free throw shooting will fall because that will tell the tale of how dominating he can be.
