32-year old point guard Denis Clemente (183-PG-86) had an amazing evening in the last round for second-ranked Mineros and receives a Interperformances LNBP Player of the Week award for round 41.
He had the game-high 29 points adding eight rebounds and four assists for Mineros in his team's victory, helping them to edge out Huracanes (#7, 6-32) 89-87. Mineros maintains the 2nd position in their group in Mexican LNBP. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Mineros will need more victories to improve their 29-10 record. In the team's last game Clemente had a remarkable 55.6% from 2-point range and got five three-pointers out of 7 attempts. He turned to be Mineros' top player in his first season with the team. Denis Clemente averages this season 12.4ppg.

Second best performed player last round was Lyonell Gaines (198-F-93, agency: Best of You Sports) of Santos. He is American forward in his first season at Santos. In the last game Gaines recorded impressive 29 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Bad luck as Santos lost that game 103-114 to slightly higher-ranked Laguneros (#4, 18-20). Santos managed to keep the same 6th spot in North. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 13-26 record. Gaines is a newcomer at Santos and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 22.6ppg (#2). He also registered 8.8 boards per game. Former Morehead State University star Gaines is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Mychal Ammons (198-F-92) of Laguneros (#4). Ammons showcased his all-around game by recording 28 points, six rebounds and four assists in the last round. He was a key player of Laguneros, leading his team to a 114-103 win against slightly lower-ranked Santos (#6, 13-26). The chances of Laguneros ranking at the top of North, however are very questionable as they have already lost 20 games, recording just eighteen victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Ammons could help Laguneros to bring them higher in the standings. Ammons has a very solid season. In 39 games in Mexico he scored 15.6ppg. He also has 7.4rpg and FGP: 58.8%.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Kohl Meyer (190-G-93) of Soles - 17 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists
5. Rayes Gallegos (188-G-90) of Laguneros - 26 points, 3 rebounds and 6 assists
6. Kyle Austin (203-F-88) of Panteras - 28 points and 3 rebounds
7. Theron Laudermill (202-PF-89) of Correcaminos - 18 points, 9 rebounds and 3 assists
8. B.J. West (211-F-89) of Santos - 19 points and 16 rebounds
9. Aaron Valdes (196-G-93) of Soles - 17 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists
10. Spencer Williams (188-G-95) of Abejas - 19 points, 4 rebounds and 10 assists

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
