American Forward Branden Dawson (198-F-93) put on an amazing game in the last round for second-ranked Soles, receiving a Interperformances LNBP Player of the Week award for round 42.
The 25-year old player had a double-double of 17 points and 13 rebounds, while his team outclassed Angeles (#7, 13-27) with 33-point margin 104-71. Soles maintains the 2nd position in their group in Mexican LNBP. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Soles will need more victories to improve their 26-13 record. In the team's last game Dawson had a remarkable 66.7% from 2-point range. He turned to be Soles' top player in his first season with the team. Branden Dawson averages this season 15.4ppg and 8.1rpg.

The second best player in last round's games was another Soles' star - 25-year old American Aaron Valdes (196-G-93, agency: Pro Sports). Valdes had a very good evening with 23 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Of course together with Dawson he helped Soles with another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Angeles (#7, 13-27) 106-68. Soles' second position in South has not changed. His team's 26-13 record is not bad at all. Valdes is well-known at Soles and together with Branden Dawson are proven team's leaders.

Third on the list of top players last round was another Soles' star - American guard Orlando Mendez-Valdez (175-PG-86, agency: Pro Sports). Mendez-Valdez got into 30-points club by scoring 42 points in the last round. He went also for four assists. He was another key player of Soles, helping his team with a 106-68 easy win against the lower-ranked Angeles (#7, 13-27). Soles needs these victories very badly if they think about taking over top position in South. Their record at this point is 26 victories and 13 lost games. Mendez-Valdez has a very solid season. In 25 games in Mexico he scored 14.0ppg. He also has 4.3apg, FGP: 56.4% and 3PT: 44.4%. Orlando Mendez-Valdez has also Mexican passport and can play in the league with a status of domestic player.
