Obregon overcame Los Mochis to even the series at 1-1. Halcones de Ciudad Obregon players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Pioneros Los Mochis' players. Americans were the main players on the court. Forward Timajh Parker-Rivera (202-94, college: Towson) notched a double-double by scoring 15 points and 15 rebounds to lead the effort and power forward Germain Jordan (198-86, college: Dillard) supported him with 26 points and 5 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field). Even a double-double of 15 points and 14 rebounds by power forward John Mitchell (208-91, college: Virginia Union) did not help to save the game for Pioneros Los Mochis. Guard Jeff Early (190-88, college: SIU) added 18 points for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.

They outrebounded Ostioneros de Guaymas 43-30 including a 35-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. American forward Jeremy Hollowell (203-94, college: Georgia St.) notched a double-double by scoring 22 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the effort and the former international guard Cezar Guerrero (185-92, college: Fresno St., agency: Best of You Sports) supported him with 27 points. Even 17 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists by Panamanian guard Daniel Giron (193-89) did not help to save the game for Ostioneros de Guaymas.
