Gerard DeVaughn (ex San German) joins Huracanes

Huracanes de Tampico (LNBP) agreed terms with 30-year old American power forward Gerard DeVaughn (206-118kg-88, college: Stillman). He played this summer at Atleticos de San German in Puerto Rican BSN league. In four games he had 9.5ppg, 4.8rpg and 1.5apg. The last season DeVaughn played at Libertadores where in 32 LNBP games he recorded very impressive stats: 18.9ppg, 9.5rpg (#3 in the league) and 1.4apg. A very spectacular season in his career as he was named to Latinbasket.com All-Mexican LNBP 2nd Team and League Player of the Week.
In 2013 (three years after he left the college) DeVaughn was drafted by Halifax Rainmen (NBL Canada) as #5 pick overall.
He attended Stillman College (NAIA) until 2010 and it will be his tenth season in pro basketball.
DeVaughn played in the final of PBL in 2017.
He is quite experienced player. DeVaughn's career allowed him to visit three different continents, while he played in six different countries. DeVaughn tasted the life as pro basketball player in Asia, Latin America and of course North America. He has played previously professionally in Jordan (Ittihad Schools), Bolivia (Amistad), PBL (Kentucky M.), UBA (Atlanta A.), NABL (Indianapolis D.) and WBA (Atlanta Blaze).
DeVaughn is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas.
