Nick Harney is a newcomer at Plateados

LNBP newcomer Plateados de Fresnillo strengthened their roster with addition of 27-year old American forward Nick Harney (203-98kg-92, college: Fairmont State). He played most recently at Mineros. In 43 LNBP games in Mexico he recorded 13.3ppg, 4.2rpg, 1.7apg and 1.5spg last season. Harney helped them to end the regular season as a second best team in LNBP North Division. Great season indeed as he was voted to Latinbasket.com All-Mexican LNBP Honorable Mention.
He ended the previous (2018) season at Mid-American in U.S. semi-pro league The Basketball Tournament. But the most of that year Harney spent at Halcones de Ciudad Obregon (CIBACOPA) where in 16 games he averaged impressive 19.6ppg, 5.1rpg, 2.1apg and 1.4spg in 2018 season.
Among other achievements Harney played in the final of MEC Tournament in 2015. He received also Daktronics NCAA D2 All-Atlantic Region 1st Team award back in 2015 at his college time.
Harney has played previously professionally in Italy (Pozzuoli) and Nicaragua (Panteras).
He attended Fairmont State until 2015 and it will be his fifth season in pro basketball.
