Laguneros sign Giovonne Woods

Laguneros de la Comarca (LNBP) landed 33-year old American guard Giovonne Woods (191-85kg-86, college: Cent.Washington). He joins another USA player Jonathan Holton who is already in the roster.
Huracanes. In 22 LNBP games in Mexico he averaged 6.7ppg, 2.9rpg and 2.5apg last season. Woods also played for Correcaminos that season where in 12 LNBP games he had 4.1ppg and 1.8rpg.
Among other achievements Woods received Latinbasket.com All-Venezuelan LNB 2013 Import Player of the Year award back in 2013.
He is a very experienced player. And here thanks to pro basketball Woods experienced life in nine different countries playing on five different continents. He is familiar with European, Asian, Latin American, African and of course North American leagues. Woods has played previously professionally in Austria (Kapfenberg Bulls), Croatia (Jazine), Finland (LoKoKo Bisons), Iraq (Al Shurtah), Qatar (Al Arabi), Saudi Arabia (Al Ansar and Al Wehda), Spain (Tenerife), Tunisia (ES Sahel) and The Basketball Tournament (Team Zeke).
He attended Central Washington University until 2009 and it will be his eleventh (!!!) season in pro basketball.
