Jordan number one in Mexican LNBP for round 26 (by Interperformances)- November 30, 2019
The 33-year old player was the main contributor (33 points, eight rebounds and two assists) to his team's victory, helping them to crush Fuerza Regia (#2, 19-8) with 18-point margin 96-78. Huracanes maintains the 4th position in their group in Mexican LNBP. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Huracanes will need more victories to improve their 14-10 record. In the team's last game Jordan had a remarkable 72.7% from 2-point range and got five three-pointers out of 10 attempts. He turned to be Huracanes' top player in his first season with the team. Former Dillard University star has very solid stats this year. Jordan is in league's top in points (6th best: 18.3ppg) and averages impressive 59.8% FGP. The second best player in last round's games was 35-year old American Reyshawn Terry (203-F-84) of league's leader Mineros. Terry had a very good evening with 24 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists. Of course he led Mineros to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Laguneros (#8, 1-24) 103-71. This victory allowed Mineros to move up to 1st position in East. His team has currently 19-7 record. Terry is a newcomer at Mineros, but is already one of team's top players. Third on the list of top players last round was center Ray Barreno (208-C-94) of Libertadores (#7). Barreno scored 22 points and grabbed eleven rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Libertadores, leading his team to a 99-74 easy win against slightly lower-ranked Santos (#8, 7-18). The chances of Libertadores ranking at the top of West, however are very questionable as they have already lost 15 games, recording just ten victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Barreno could help Libertadores to bring them higher in the standings. Barreno has a very solid season. In 23 games in Mexico he scored 5.6ppg. He also has 4.9rpg and FGP: 52.9%. Other top performing players last week: 4. Gilberto Clavell (200-F-89) of Plateados - 27 points and 6 rebounds 5. Victor Liz (193-SG-86) of Mineros - 23 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists 6. Mamadou Ndiaye (229-C-93) of Correcaminos - 14 points and 14 rebounds 7. Jonathan Rodriguez (196-G/F-87) of Libertadores - 24 points and 8 rebounds 8. Ernesto Oglivie (203-F-89) of Capitanes - 18 points, 11 rebounds and 2 assists 9. Spencer Williams (188-G-95) of Abejas - 23 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists 10. Bernardo Polanco (189-G-94) of Correcaminos - 22 points and 6 rebounds The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc. The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy. The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
