Huracanes sign DaQuan Brooks, ex Indios SFM

Huracanes de Tampico (LNBP) signed 29-year old American point guard DaQuan Brooks (177-90, college: W.Connecticut). He played last summer at Indios de San Francisco in LNB league in Dominican Republic, but left. In 5 games he had 8.2ppg, 3.0rpg and 4.4apg. Brooks also played for Panteras (LPB) in Venezuelan league. He helped them to make it to the Venezuelan LPB Cup Semifinals.
Brooks was voted NABC Division III All-Northeast Region Player of the Year back in 2012 at his college time.
Brooks is quite experienced player. He has played in six different countries on four different continents (Asia, Latin America, Africa and of course North America). Brooks has played previously professionally in Canada (Moncton Miracles, Orangeville A's and Highlanders), Qatar (Al Wakrah), Saudi Arabia (Al Ansar), Libya (Al Nasr), NBA G League (Maine Red Claws) and TBL (Vancouver K.).
He attended Western Connecticut State University until 2012 and it will be his eighth season as a professional player.
