Best players of Mexican LNBP round 27- December 2, 2019
The 33-year old had the game-high 27 points adding eight rebounds and six assists for Huracanes in his team's victory, helping them to edge out Fuerza Regia (#2, 19-9) 93-91. Huracanes maintains the 4th position in their group in Mexican LNBP. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Huracanes will need more victories to improve their 15-10 record. In the team's last game Jordan had a remarkable 53.8% from 2-point range. He turned to be Huracanes' top player in his first season with the team. Dillard University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Jordan is in league's top in points (5th best: 18.7ppg) and averages solid 59.5% FGP. The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 30-year old American forward John Taylor (185-F-89, agency: Promotex) of Laguneros. Taylor impressed basketball fans with 34 points, 3 rebounds and 8 assists. Bad luck as Laguneros lost that game 82-106 to the higher-ranked Mineros (#1, 20-7). Laguneros managed to keep the same 8th spot in East. 25 lost games are too many comparing to just one victory Laguneros managed to get this year. Taylor is a newcomer at Laguneros and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. Fresno Pacific University alumni Taylor played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas. The third best performed player last round was American Isaiah Wilkerson (191-G-90) of Dorados (#3). Wilkerson showcased his all-around game by recording 24 points, seven rebounds and five assists in the last round. He was a key player of Dorados, leading his team to a 80-73 win against slightly lower-ranked Lenadores (#5, 14-13). Dorados needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams in East. Their record at this point is 17 victories and 7 lost games. Wilkerson has a very solid season. In 22 games in Mexico he scored 13.7ppg. Other top performing players last week: 4. O.D. Anosike (203-F/C-91) of Fuerza Regia - 20 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists 5.
