Mantarrayas de La Paz (CIBACOPA) strengthened their roster with addition of 33-year old American (has also Dominican passport) power forward Antonio Pena (204-86, college: Villanova). It is his comeback to Mantarrayas as he has played here before. Pena played recently at Soles in the LNBP. In 53 games he recorded 8.8ppg, 4.0rpg, and 1.4apg this season. Pena helped them to win the LNBP title. Last summer he played at Mantarrayas where in 53 CIBACOPA games he averaged impressive 19.2ppg, 6.3rpg, 3.7apg, and 1.2spg. Pena contributed to his team making it to the final after they ended the regular season as the second-best team. Great season indeed as he was voted to Latinbasket.com All-Mexican CIBACOPA 2nd Team.

He is a very experienced player. Thanks to Pena's pro career he managed to play on three different continents (Europe, Latin America and of course North America) in nine different countries. Pena has played previously professionally in Argentina (Ferro), Colombia, Dominican Rep., Germany, Puerto Rico (Brujos), Spain (Burgos), Venezuela (Marinos) and Dominican Republic (Enriquillo, Pueblo Nuevo, Reales de La Vega, and Don Bosco).

He attended Villanova University until 2011 and it is his ninth season in pro basketball.
