Ostioneros de Guaymas (CIBACOPA) signed an experienced 34-year old American (has also North Macedonian passport) guard Darius Washington (188-90kg-85, college: Memphis). He just played at Bluff City (The Basketball Tournament) in the U.S. Washington missed last season and had a year break from professional basketball.

In 2006 Washington was drafted by Austin Toros (D-League) in the first round (10th overall).

He attended the University of Memphis and it will be his 14th (!!!) season in pro basketball.

The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others Washington's team won the North Macedonian Cup in 2019. He was also voted Asia-Basket.com All-Chinese NBL 1st Team back in 2016.

Washington is a quite experienced player. He has played in twelve different countries on three different continents (Europe, Asia and of course North America). Washington has played previously professionally in France (Le Mans), Greece (Iraklis), Israel (Hapoel Eilat), Italy (Virtus Roma), Puerto Rico, Russia (Ural Great), Turkey (Turk Telekom and Galatasaray), NBA (Chicago Bulls), North Macedonia (Rabotnicki), Czech Republic (ERA Nymburk), China (Henan) and The Basketball Tournament (Team DRC).
