Mexcaltecas de Nayarit (LMBPF) inked 30-year old Panamanian center Veronica Vega (90). She played recently at Correcaminos in Panamanian LPB league. In 10 games she was fifth best scorer with impressive 17.4ppg and recorded 9.6rpg, 1.7apg, 2.7spg and 1.0bpg this season. Vega helped them to win the LPB title despite they ended the regular season at the second place. A very good season in her career as she was awarded Latinbasket.com All-Panamanian LPB Finals MVP, Center of the Year and selected to 1st Team.
She represented Panama at the Central American Games in Managua (Nicaragua) three years ago.
Vega has played previously professionally also in Costa Rica (Taca Costa Rica) and Panama (Angeles, Centinelas del Tuira and Halcones).
