Eric Dawson (ex Defensor) signs at Mineros- June 3, 2020
The previous (2019) summer Dawson was tested by Olimpia (Metropolitan League) in Paraguayan league. He helped them to win the league title despite they ended the regular season at the second place. Dawson has tried to make it to the NBA and played in the NBA Pro Summer League in 2014. Dawson is a very experienced player. And here thanks to pro basketball he experienced life in twelve different countries playing on four different continents. He is familiar with European, Asian, Latin American and of course North American leagues. Dawson has played previously professionally in Argentina (San Lorenzo and Comunicaciones), China (Heilongjiang), Dominican Republic (Metros de Santiago), France (Levallois and Chalon/Saor), Iran (Petrochimi), Japan (Diamond Dolphins), Korea (KCC Egis), Philippines (Blackwater Elite), Puerto Rico (Vaqueros, Leones and Cariduros), Taiwan (Yulon Luxgen), NBA (Utah Jazz and San Antonio Spurs) and NBA G League (Salt Lake City Stars and Austin Spurs). He was selected to Puerto Rican BSN All-Star Game back in 2017. It may be one of last seasons in his extensive career, which he may end at Mineros. Dawson attended previously one of camps at Eurobasket Summer League on he way to pro basketball. He attended Midwestern State until 2007 and it will be his 15th (!!!) season in pro basketball.
