Rigoberto Mendoza (ex GUG) agreed terms with Dorados

Dorados de Chihuahua (LNBP) inked 28-year old Dominican guard Rigoberto Mendoza (190-82kg-92). He played in the summer at Gregorio Urbano Gilbert in Santiago League in Dominican Republic. In 5 games he recorded very impressive stats: 24.8ppg, 5.6rpg, 3.6apg and 1.4spg. The last season Mendoza played at Capitanes (Mexican LNBP) where in 29 games he averaged remarkable 16.0ppg, 4.9rpg, 3.2apg and 1.6spg (in top 5). He helped them to end the regular season as a second best team in LNBP West Division. Good season as he was selected League Player of the Week.
Mendoza represented Dominican Republic at the Centrobasket in Panama City (Panama) four years ago. His team won Bronze and his stats at that event were 6 games: 10.5ppg, 4.8rpg, 1.7apg, FGP: 38.2%, 3PT: 33.3%, FT: 86.7%.
Mendoza is a very experienced player. He has played also professionally in Argentina (Estudiantes Concordia), Puerto Rico (Santeros) and Spain (Azpeitia Juaristi Iraurgi Saski Baloia).
Among many awards Mendoza won Puerto Rican BSN championship title in 2019. He received also Latinbasket.com All-Mexican LNBP Player of the Year award and Latinbasket.com All-Mexican LNBP Import Player of the Year award in 2019.
