Gabriel Giron
Lenadores de Durango (LNBP) inked 32-year old former Mexican international guard Gabriel Giron (192-88). Giron played most recently at Dorados. In 11 LNBP games he recorded 3.7ppg and 1.5rpg last season. He helped them to end the regular season as a second best team in LNBP East Division. The last summer Giron was tested by Capitanes (LBE).
He has a double citizenship as he also holds Panamanian passport.
He was also a member of Mexican international program for some years. Giron played for Mexican Senior National Team between 2012 and 2018 and previously for University National Team between 2009 and 2011.
He also represented Mexico at the Central American and Caribbean Games in Barranquilla (Colombia) two years ago. His stats at that event were 4 games: 9.5ppg, 1.8rpg, 2.3apg, Steals-5 (1.8spg), FGP-1 (78.6%), 3PT: 23.5%, FT: 66.7%.
Giron has played previously professionally also in Panama (Canguros de Parque Lefevre) and Mexico (Fuerza Regia, Frayles de Guasave, Panteras and Mineros de Caborca).
Among many awards his team won Mexican LNBP South Division Regular Season in 2019. Giron was selected to Mexican LNBP All-Star Game in 2015, 2017 and 2019.
