Kyle Casey (ex Tokyo Z) signs at Abejas

Abejas de Leon (LNBP) landed 29-year old American international forward Kyle Casey (201-102kg-90, college: Harvard). He played most recently at Earthfriends Tokyo Z in Japanese B2 League, but left the team in Feb.'20. In 33 games he averaged impressive 18.7ppg, 11.2rpg, 3.9apg and 1.2spg last season.
Casey ended the previous (2018-19) season at Los Leones (Chilean Liga Nacional) in Chilean league where in 5 games he had 13.8ppg, 6.8rpg and 1.0bpg. But the most of that year he spent at Hustle in U.S. NBA-G-League. In 42 games he recorded 9.6ppg, 6.0rpg and 2.3apg. Casey has been regularly called to USA Senior National Team since 2019.
He is a very experienced player. And here thanks to pro basketball Casey experienced life in four different countries playing on three different continents. He is familiar with European, Latin American and of course North American leagues. Casey has played previously professionally in Israel (Afula), Slovenia (Helios Suns), NBA (Phoenix Suns) and NBA G League (Wisconsin Herd).
Among many awards Casey played in the final of Chilean Liga Nacional in 2019. He received also Eurobasket.com All-Slovenian League 1st Team award back in 2015.
He attended Harvard University until 2014 and it will be his seventh season in pro basketball.
