The Regular Season in LNBP just started. Here is the last round review presented by ESL.

Aaguacateros smashed Astros in Michoacan 101-75. 24 personal fouls committed by Astros helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American forward Rodney Green (183-88, college: La Salle) fired 21 points for the winners. His fellow American import center Jerome Meyinsse (208-88, college: Virginia) chipped in 12 points and 8 rebounds. American Brandon Robinson (196-89, college: Clayton St.) produced 19 points and 7 rebounds for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Astros will have a break next week, which should allow them to rest in order to get back on the winning path. Aaguacateros will try to continue on its current victory against Astros in Guadalajara.
The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Soles in Aguascalientes. Visitors were defeated by Panteras 104-98. Worth to mention a great performance of American power forward Will Artino (211-92, college: Creighton) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 6 rebounds. Jorge Pacheco-Ortiz contributed with 16 points and 4 assists for the winners. International guard Luke Martinez (190-90, college: Wyoming, agency: Pro Sports) answered with 21 points and 7 rebounds for Soles. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Panteras will again play against Soles in Mexicali in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Soles will have a break next round.
An interesting game was played in Guanajuato where Libertadores beat host Abejas 107-98 on Friday evening. The game was dominated by American players. Jordan Adams stepped up and scored 32 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. At the losing side Leron Black responded with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 16 rebounds. Libertadores will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Abejas will play again against Libertadores and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
We should not miss the game where Plateros against Mineros where Plateros won on the road by seven points 87-80. Tyrone White nailed 20 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side. Mineros' coach Allans Colon rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Plateros will have a break next round. Mineros will play again at home against Plateros and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
An exciting game was played in Chihuahua. Dorados faced Fuerza Regia. Host Dorados defeated guests from Monterrey 80-64. Rigoberto Mendoza fired 16 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Dorados will face again Fuerza Regia in Monterrey in the next round.

In the last game of round 1 Lenadores defeated Correcaminos in Durango 102-94.



Correcaminos - Lenadores 94-102

There was no surprise in Ciudad Victoria where Correcaminos were defeated by Lenadores 102-94 on Thursday. Lenadores made 16-of-20 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Correcaminos were plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Argentinian center Ivan Basualdo (203-90) fired 20 points and 8 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) for the winners. Argentinian point guard Jonatan Machuca (184-89) chipped in 21 points and 6 assists (made all of his eight free throws). Five Lenadores players scored in double figures. Dominican forward Juan Guerrero (205-93) produced a double-double by scoring 36 points (!!!) and 11 rebounds and Panamanian forward Josimar Ayarza (205-87, college: Southern Miss) added 27 points and 11 rebounds respectively for lost side. Lenadores will have a break next round. Correcaminos will play again at home against Lenadores and hope to win that game.

The game was dominated by American players. Jordan Adams (196-94, college: UCLA) stepped up and scored 32 points and 7 rebounds for the winners and guard Stedmon Lemon (198-92, college: JCSU) chipped in 36 points (!!!) (made all of his ten free throws !!!). At the losing side forward Leron Black (201-96, college: Illinois) responded with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 16 rebounds and Onzie Branch (201-91, college: Gardner-Webb) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Five Abejas players scored in double figures. Libertadores will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Abejas will play again against Libertadores and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

We should not miss the game where Plateros against Mineros where Plateros won on the road by seven points 87-80. American center Eric Dawson (206-84, college: Midwestern St., agency: Interperformances) came up with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 23 rebounds and the other American import forward Mike Bruesewitz (201-90, college: Wisconsin, agency: Octagon Europe) added 14 points respectively for Mineros in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Mineros' coach Allans Colon rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Plateros will have a break next round.
