Durrell Summers (ex Puerto Montt) signs at Dorados- October 2, 2020
In 2011 he was drafted by Maine Red Claws (D-League) in second round (8th overall). Summers attended Michigan State and it will be his tenth season in pro basketball. He is a very experienced player. Summers has quite traveled the world as his pro career brought him to eleven different countries on four different continents (Europe, Latin America, Australia and of course North America). Summers has played previously professionally in Argentina (Bahia Basket, Echague and Olimpo), Australia (Illawarra Hawks), Finland (Kauhajoki), France, Germany (Eisbaeren Bremerhaven), Hungary (Kormend and Atomeromu), Israel, Venezuela, Chile (Deportivo Valdivia and Osorno Basquetbol), Mexico (Frayles de Guasave and Rayos de Hermosillo) and NBA G League (Stockton Kings and Westchester Knicks). Among many awards he won Chilean Liga Nacional championship title in 2016. Summers received also Latinbasket.com All-Chilean Liga Nacional Player of the Year award and Latinbasket.com All-Chilean Liga Nacional Import Player of the Year award back in 2017.
